At A Glance
Situated on 500 acres of woodlands along the scenic Palisades Park, the Alpine Day Camp boasts miles of hiking trails, both indoor and outdoor climbing facilities, and an Olympic sized swimming pool among the amazing features your children will experience this summer. The Alpine Day Camp utilizes this property to the fullest extent. We are a wholly inclusive camp, welcoming all boys and girls entering grades 1-7 to participate! The program is designed to grow along with your child, ensuring new and exciting experiences each year. Our Monday through Friday daily program begins July 1st and ends August 23rd. Whether you sign up for just one week or all eight, your children will have memories they will carry with them for years to come.

Why Alpine Day Camp?
Operated by the Greater New York Councils, Boy Scouts of America, since 1948 campers have been having unforgettable summer experiences at Alpine. Day Camp is an opportunity for children to learn and grow in an active and imaginative environment under the safe supervision of caring individuals. The Alpine Day Camp is conveniently located only 10 miles away from New York City. Alpine Day Camp is owned and operated by the Greater New York Councils, Boy Scouts of America.
Alpine Day Camp offers budget-friendly pricing compared to other day camps. Many extra services are included, and discounts for multiple sessions are available!
Camp Alpine offers prepared lunch to our campers at no extra charge! We offer many varieties of heathy meals and snacks. If you have dietary concerns, don’t worry! Our world class food service staff are well prepared! Just let us know what your camper needs!
We offer free extended hours 8a-6p to anyone who needs extra time. All we ask is you let us know which days you need to drop early or pick up late!

The Alpine Day Camp offers a fantastic, yet budget friendly summer day camp experience! Compare us to some other camps in the area, and you'll see the value that your child will receive is phenomenal.
Our camp runs from June 26th to August 18th. You can choose to participate in as many weeks as you choose.
The sibling discount unlocks new pricing tiers faster! For example, if you sign up two campers for three weeks, you pay the six week price!

Where is Alpine Day Camp?
Alpine Day Camp is located immediately off of Exit 3 on the Palisades Parkway, just 15 minutes from both the George Washington Bridge and the Mario Cuomo Bridge.
Who works at Alpine?
At Alpine, we are a camp without borders, recruiting staff from all over the tristate area who have a passion for working with youth in the outdoors. Our staff come from varied backgrounds with some being educators, graduate and college students, and those in high school or who have just graduated.
Where do campers come from?
Most of our campers come from Rockland County, NY and Bergen County, NJ, with some arriving at camp via camp transportation from New York City.
What are the dates of camp?
The first day of camp is July 6, 2020, and the last is August 28, 2020. We are
closed on July 4th in observance of Independence Day.
What is a typical day like at camp?
We strive to make each day at camp a different experience, but we always begin with an opening ceremony at approximately 9:15 AM. This opening gets kids excited about the day ahead and will feature songs and cheers to get their blood moving. Activities begin at 9:30 and end at 3:50, with a lunch period at noon. Program areas consist of Nature, Sports, Theater, Arts & Crafts, Target Sports, Swimming, Outdoor Skills, and Activity Center.
What is the ratio of campers to staff?
Each group of no more than 12 campers will have two dedicated counselors. Groups travel to each program area led by another staff member making the ratio no less than 1 staff member for every 4 campers.
